Picea abies 'Gold Drift'
Price: $150.00

Description
NOTE: The sweeps are too bulky for a box. Nursery pickup only.
Growth Habit: typically needs to be staked for height
USDA Zone: 3-8
Exposure: filtered to full sun
Growing Conditions: well-drained soils
Comments: A sport of Picea abies 'Inversa' found in 1990 by Bob Fincham. As you can see from the picture it can be staked as high as your ladder! This old specimen is about 12 feet tall. Without staking typically grows as a ground cover which makes it a good candidate for hanging over a wall or as an interesting spreading mound in the garden. With good light/sun intensity maintains its yellow foliage year round. We grow our 'Gold Drift' in three forms: staked upright with a single leader, free flowing mounds, and sweeps (staked upright and then allowed to cascade back down).
