From higher elevations where temperatures may drop below 0 degrees to seashore conditions with salt spray. Though its growth habit is listed as a dense, columnar form may also develop slightly, outward growing branches to give it more of an architectural value. Dense, congested foliage is dark green with sprays of creamy yellow and silvery white.
